The Cancer Walk

The first week of summer finally we have no school! My family is going to Brownwood, Texas for a cancer walk (around Abilene.) The morning from a day of the cancer walk we left to go to Cross plains, Texas where we would be staying with my grandma. I woke up at about 5:30 a.m. and put on my Hollister shirt also some cargo shorts and my bag with one of my blankets and a pillow. Then we left at 7:30 mostly because my sisters didn’t pack their bags last night. But at least it didn’t take forever but we finally got going while we were going through Dallas, Texas my parents said who wants to eat McDonalds or the restaurant in the ball. Of course the restaurant in the ball so that was the place we would eat at. We had to take an elevator to the restaurant at the beautiful ball. Except it cost like $100! When we got in the car my dad said “why did we do that?” then I said well it was pretty good. I got an ice cream cone for dessert and a cheese enchilada with bacon inside it and rice on the side and sour cream on top it was pretty rich. But after that I had a stomach ache and 100 degree fever! We finally got there and it seemed like 11 hours because my stomach felt so bad. When I walked in Nelson Cruz hit a homerun on their 64’ flat screen television at 1:42 p.m. we made a lot of bags for decoration because it lights up the track at night! It actually looks cool I think it was like 750 something all in one night we did about 700 bags because some were donated from other people in our family but most of the time I was watching the Texas Rangers by the way they won 11-4 against Seattle my third favorite team (because of Ichiro Suzuki.) But after that I guess I fell asleep because I couldn’t remember what happened after that. In the morning I ate breakfast and we left for the cancer walk I walked 7 miles and stayed up all night on dr. pepper also pizza from Mazzios and pizza from dominoes pizza. I made a friend for about 1 night named Jacob and I can’t remember his last name we had to leave that morning and I saw part of a St .Louis Cardinal game when we got back home there was a basket that said to our family but we never figured out who it was but it did have some cookies in there so we just ate them. They were pretty good so I guess bye!
